MANCAT MONDAY

This is my brother Oliver.  He's 100 years old..I mean, 11 years old.  He hated me when I first came to live here.  He would hiss at me and pop me on the head.  Now he lets me share the same room with him.  Mommy calls it a miracle since he was the last holdout.  I love him and one day he is going to love me too.  I just know it.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE WEINEES..

Do ya'll remember when I told you that mom shafted me and my kitties brothers and sisters at Easter?  Well, I have a confession, it wasn't cuz she doesn't love us or just totally forgot.  It was because she was super busy.  Now, don't get me wrong, I think nothing in this world is more important than me, but mom is teaching me that I'm not the only furbaby in this house.  So, I reluctantly agreed to let her off the hook...FOR NOW.

So, what was so important you ask? Well, a professional photographer called my mommy at work one day and told her that she needed some dachshund photos for calendars and magazines..etc..So, my mommy and her mommy drove for 2 hours (the day before Easter) with 4 dachshunds in the car to Boone NC.  The photographer spent hours taking photos of the weinee brothers and sisters and then they had a 2 hour drive home and they got back late.  Yesterday, my grandma found the photos on the photographers website even before we got the photos in the mail, so mommy downloaded the proofs.  Here they are...............

Logan 7 years old

Frankie, 3 or 4..and my bestest buddy
Lucy.. 9 or older..she treated me like her own baby when I first came home..I love her
So, I got over feeling sorry for myself cuz sometimes it's not always about me...BUT IT REALLY IS....

Homer (the unloved and neglected)

GOOBER

Goober is my big brother. He doesn't have a lot to do with me most of the time.  He's not mean, just doesn't seem to care to much.  I know he'll come around.  Mom says that ever since I came home, he doesn't have too much to do with her anymore either.  Mommy thinks he's still mad.  Today though, mommy went out on the deck and he posed for her.  Then he gave her lots of kisses which made mommy happy.  And everyone knows, if mama aint' happy, nobody's happy.  Am I right?
In the meantime, while mom was oogling over Goober, I was hiding.  I crouched down like a tiger and rocked back and forth to kill my prey.

For some reason, I  think he knew I was there.  Mommy laughs whenever I do this...something about me not REALLY hiding. Maybe she should mind her business.

Oops..Sorry mommy

A CAT BY ANY OTHER NAME

My mommy feels bad that she hasn't talked about my brother White Cat.  White cat is his name..yes it is.  He belonged to my neighbors who mommy calls "the idiots".  Do you know them?  Well, the idiots loved to get cats, then throw them outside, forget to feed them and sometimes even run them over.  Once they went away on vacation for two whole weeks and one of their cats got real sick and almost died (Pete) and mommy took care of him.  Anywhooo, the idiots moved..finally and when they came back to take white cat, my mom wouldn't let them.  She said she had lots of friends from Animal Control who would love to talk to them about the abuse their cats suffered.  they went away and never came back.  white cat doesn't have an "official" name.  Mom says it's because she's in denial.  What should mom call him?  I call him brother. By the way, Goober, Pete and white cat have all come from the idiots house.

Yesterday was so purrddy.  Hank and Lucy laid on the deck, after they chased some bees.  Then Lucy cried cuz a big bee got her.  There are advantages to not going outside.

Hank loves laying on the warm deck.  The wood feels so good. I get to do that too only through the screen door.
Olive is mocking me cuz I can't go outside and eat grass.  MOCKING ME.  The nerve.
HA..who's laughing now Olive.  I get grass too.  See, no eyes, no problem.
 I'm just sayin'

BEST FRIENDS!

My good friends over at Fuzzy Tales asked me if I got along with my brothers and sisters.  I think you probably know the answer.  Frankie is my brother and even shares his bones with me.

Everyone loves Frankie, he's so friendly.
Frankie is such a good brother that Hank treats him to a nice bath every now and then.
I think I have a pretty darn good life.
